I've found that my Bengal cats are superb companions, possessing both good looks & an engaging personality - they are intelligent & often naughty & I wouldn't be without them.  To meet them, click on the link below ...

My Bengals

Developed from a cross between the Asian Leopard Cat (Felis Bengalis) & various domestic cats, the emphasis of breeders has always been on temperament ...

these are not agressive cats

They have silken fur, often covered in glitter - there are three main colours & two patterns

Brown (or Black) Spotted
Black, or varying shades of brown, spots on a yellow, buff, golden, grey or orange ground colour, with a good contrast between the background & the spots.  The spots may be small & round, arrow-shaped, two-toned or in the form of rosettes.  They have green, gold or hazel-coloured eyes.

Snow Spotted
This colouration is derived from the Siamese & Burmese restriction of coat colour & comes in two varieties - blue-eyed & any-other-eye colour (aoc).  The blue-eyed cats are the palest, with an ivory to cream colour background, sporting spots that can vary from charcoal to brown.  The aoc has a slightly darker ground colour of ivory to tan but should show a clearly visible charcoal to brown pattern.

Silver

A silver Bengal has a pale to medium grey coat with well-contrasting black or dark grey spots.  Any sign of yellowing in the coat is known as tarnishing.  Most silver Bengals have green eyes.

Spotted
Coated in small & round, arrow-shaped, two-toned or in the form of rosettes.

Marble
The marble pattern is probably a result of the blotched or classic tabby pattern being modified by Asian Leopard Cat genes.  Marbled Bengals are striking - their coat is covered with un-symetrical swirled patches & streaks.

Glitter
In certain light, some Bengals look as if they have been dipped in gold dust - difficult to photograph but stunning to look at.  Snow Bengals may also have glitter - but the affect is more pearly.
